This section examines crop machines, cultivators, harvesters, sprayers and orchard / vineyard machinery.

Equipment Maintenance

Basics about fuels, oils, coolants, diesel cold starting, diesel saving tips, winterizing and general season maintenance.

Landscaping Equipment

An introduction to lawnmowers, gardening equipment, shredders, mulchers, planters and greenhouse machinery. Course includes information on suppliers for parts, components and catalog contacts.

Irrigation Equipment

This is an introduction to the many features, purposes, and uses of cropland irrigation. This teaches basic pumps, transmission, theory and components of irrigation, as well as an introduction to the skills required for servicing and maintaining pumping equipment.

Other Farm Equipment

Information about tractors, trucks, trailers, skid steers, forklifts, material handling equipment etc.

Small Engines

An introduction to the basic components, theory, math and the hands-on opportunities of small engine repair and troubleshooting. Course includes small engine care, theory, hard starts, rebuilds and mountings.

Sewing, Stitching and Stapling Machines

This uses the older singer 201 to demonstrate the principals of operation and troubleshooting a wide variety of sewers, stitchers and staplers used in the farming community. Principals apply to the 19th century sewing machine models for restoration as well through the 1960s machines.
